About this deal

Someone likes to dig a hole for himself in every occasion that presents him, I have never seen anyone that crazy and stupid, falling for such obvious provocations. The ending, again like other books I have read recently, was rushed and boring; I wanted something more believable and less hallmark. Though these two protagonists embarked on their journey as adversaries on and off the ice, a transformative encounter at a fraternity gathering acted as a catalyst for their gradual metamorphosis.

If you're craving a bit of toecurling M/M, witty banter and split grin inducing cuteness, I highly recommend! I loved watching Oak and Quinn go from intense rivals/enemies to something neither of them expected.Essa autora cria uma química absurda entre os personagens, é uma coisa que te envolve e vc não consegue parar de ler! Usually in these college romances, parents play a big part of keeping the two apart or driving a wedge between them, and at the beginning it really looked like this story was going that route since Oakley is a legacy kid and Quintons parents are the typical rich, ice-cold waspy types who don’t approve of him playing already.

Their story is a simmering enemies to lovers college hockey romance with just the perfect amount of tension and angst! a quinn whose parents had never shown him a connection beyond wanting him to be the picture-perfect son. Maybe not involve as much going on, especially if they ended up not being issues later on in the story? Liam’s voice is higher in pitch (for a male voice) with a softer, warmer sound, well suited to Oakley. If you want something lighthearted, sweet and a potential comfort read with lots (LOTS) of spice, this is ur book.Sometimes you leave a story, even a really good one, feeling like maybe something was glossed over that needed more or you have a question that kind of lingers. Because Quinton has this air about him, making it almost impossible to not smile or laugh in his presence.

Damn this book surprised me, at first I wasn’t sure I was into it and then bam I couldn’t put it down! They both had that enemies tone in their voice which helped build up the story in the audio so freaking well!

This is not the case here, and a big chunk of the plot has to do with their hockey season and them playing games. One issue I have with the enemies-to-lovers trope is that it continues for a while but quickly fades away when the main characters get together. An enemies-to-lovers romance that brilliantly straddles the line of lust and love, Ricci fills the pages with sexy snark and witty banter; every scene hot, tense and addictive.

Quinn turned out to be clingier than Oakley and I definitely thought it was going to be the other way around. I must add too, that I finished the book because I obviously liked too, in no way is this book horrible or 🚮.While the less hostile party, Oakley cannot stand Quinton's jabs at his family ties to the sport or Quinton's hot temper that aggravates just about everybody. My initial encounter with this narrative left me a tad vexed by the frequency of the intimate scenes and the way in which Oak shouldered unjust blame for Braxton's actions, despite Braxton being the instigator who initially manipulated Quinn's drug test.
