About this deal

Who is this set NOT for? If you’re treble sensitive or if you like a more neutral type of tuning, this set is not for you. Or if you’re searching for something that has the most natural timbre or some mid-centric type of tuning, this set is also not for you. Clarity, layering and definition are above average while the bass is tight, fast and controlled with good timing.

Granted, most consumers will probably use the single planar mode for the majority of their music appreciation. Still, our treble-head friends may appreciate the hybrid switch, and some may like an appropriate option for critical listening and analysis of music. As icing on the cake, the Talos are also well accessorized, with an ergonomic fit and solid build. For the cable, it comes with upgraded 8 strand KZ SPC Cable, its supple and soft, for the connector, i believe it use 0.75 type c KZ connector / QDCBoth have good space to operate, and neither are congested or veiled. These are two awesome options in the world of audio at this price point.

It is easy to drive KZ PR1 Pro with just 16Ω impedance. Most smartphone in the market should have enough power to drive it. Personally, I am using Zorloo ZuperDAC Pro USB-DAC with ESS Sabre 9281ACPRO. It is much better than smartphone built-in one. And manages to get more juice out of KZ PR1 Pro. FYI, it is slightly easier to drive than PR1 HiFi Edition. The Stellaris are an extremely bright set with a highly polarizing tonality – consumers will either hate or love the tuning, which is catered primarily to treble-heads. The S12 pro utilize a custom 14.8mm large-diaphragm driver with great details retrieval, punchy bass and clear trebles. 102db high sensitivity means that it can be easily driven to volume, be it a cell phone or dongle DACs, S12 will sound optimal pairing with most source / amps. The Raptgo Hook-X is currently one of my favorite Planar Driven iems on the market that I have actually listened to. There are quite a few that I have not so… take that with a grain of salt. The Hook-X came out just after the 7Hz Timeless had officially disrupted the audio narrative of what a planar iem can sound like. Everyone clamored to get thier hands on the Timeless. I know because I was one of those people. Then out of nowhere this relatively no-name company (Raptgo) came forward with the Hook-X and trumped the Timeless in almost every regard sonically, fitment wise, looks, the whole nine yards really. Of course, it is also a bit more expensive than the Timeless, and much more expensive than the iem I am reviewing today (S12 Pro).

Letshuoer S12 PRO | Headphone Reviews and Discussion - Head

The sub-bass on the P1 MAX rolls a little earlier while the bass is leaner and drier sounding but with a touch of extra control and clarity compared to the S12 PRO which is fuller and weightier but more hollow and looser.I remember the exact day this unit arrived, out of the box trying the PR1 Pro for the first time, when the music starts and bass slams, I instantly smiles and nod my head, “whoa, this set has really good bass”. The Talos are no slouch in timbre, but of the planar challengers, the Zetian Wu have the best timbral accuracy of the lot. DUNU has also released some crowd favorites, such as the Titan S, DK-2001, Zen Pro, EST 112, VULKAN, KIMA, and SA6, in addition to having a vast accessory line-up. Technical Specifications Weirdly enough, as much as I complained about the treble, I didn’t get fatigue from it, even after using it for hours This applies for most countries. However, large items such as headphones and desktop DAC/AMPs (e.g. HarmonicDyne G200, MUSICIAN MDP-2, and etc.) are excluded.

The midrange is well resolving, it carries a detailed sound with enough good energy to even add an emotional flair to my music. There is a subtle warmth in the low-mids which carries over to men’s voices as well as instruments in this region. Vocals have a transparent and somewhat natural sound that can be nicely crisp and technically adept to not miss subtleties. Take the song “ Better Together” by Luke Combs. Luke always sounds forward in this song and every vocalized word is pushed by a breath of air which can be easily discerned and heard. I hear some depth to vocals and instruments with nice separation. Another plus is the energy and heft to men’s voices. Not too weighty or veiled and not too thin or dry. I should add that male voices do have a bit more weight and oomph than females in my opinion. Upper-Mids Imaging : Very great for the price, i dare say it “almost” sounds holographic, you can easily visualize the instruments and vocalist on their place.

The PRO edition comes with an upgraded custom 14.8mm planar magnetic driver which has a 102db high sensitivity that means that it can be easily driven by a cell phone or dongle DACs.
