About this deal

Made in association with The National Museum of the Royal Navy. Rich and warming with hints of pepper from grains of paradise. 57% A small selection of sloe gins were tasted next, producing two Gold medals and two Silvers. The first Gold was won by North Uist Distillery’s Downpour Sloe and Bramble gin, which had a “lovely tartness”. Hernö Sloe Gin was also deemed to be Gold‐standard, with “cherry drops” on the nose and its retention of gin on the palate. The Extra Special Botanical London Dry Gin is not only luxurious but sustainable too. The bottle is created using part recycled glass and uses sustainable cork stoppers from the Portuguese cork forest, which protects the habitat of wildlife – especially birds. It is distilled in an iStill, using a fifth of the energy of a normal still and ALL fruit and botanical waste is re-used or composted. An intriguing German gin featuring a coffee core with earthy, smoky notes & hints of sweet lemon & mint. 45% Refreshing and Rich, with peppery, subtly oily complimented by exotic kaffir lime leaf Orange & Lime. 42%
