Given that there are two films in production, there really is a good (unconfirmed) chance that Netflix will probably licensed the films as they did with Eternal last year. At the same time, we know this version will be much closer to the manga than the nineties animation, which split the storyline into the micro-Nehelennia arc and the moved onto Stars and an epic six episode finale. This means it is both clear how the storyline will flow given the arc takes up two tankōbon but also deviates from the storyline used in the anime (though the death of Neptune and Uranus remains the moment which broke me). Meanwhile, Shadow Galactica, an organization devoting itself to stealing star seeds throughout the galaxy under Sailor Galaxia's leadership, and the Sailor Starlights, a trio of Sailor Guardians from another star system, arrive on Earth. To gain control of the Galaxy Cauldron for the villainous Chaos, Sailor Galaxia robs the eight Eternal Sailor Guardians of their Sailor Crystals and kills them. Desperate to save her friends, Usagi, as Eternal Sailor Moon, joins forces with the Sailor Starlights to challenge Sailor Galaxia in what may be her greatest - and perhaps final - battle.
