About this deal

Her Majesty The Queen and The Duke of Cambridge, Earl of Strathearn travelled to our factory in Cumbernauld on June 28th. Barr Soft Drinks employees will also raise funds for the charity, who provide much needed support for people diagnosed with cancer, and their family and friends. The "Iron Brew" name has continued to be used for many versions of the drink sold by rival manufacturers.

Irn-Bru - Wikipedia

Barr’s dandelion and burdock flavour, previously part of the Barr flavour range, was relaunched as D’N’B in 1993 and became the first branded dandelion and burdock product on the market. This later turned out to be fraud carried out by a third-party company, and Mjøndalen IF never received any sponsorship from Irn-Bru, even though the team played the 2009 season with Irn-Bru logo on their shirts.

Irn-Bru has long been the most popular soft drink in Scotland, with Coca-Cola second, but competition between the two brands brought their sales to roughly equal levels by 2003. The registration criteria now applied by the Register conforms to the Scottish Register of Tartans Act 2008.

Our history - AG Barr

Each of the three new 30-second adverts brings to life the campaign mantra ‘IRN-BRU gets you through’. The first step in manufacturing a carbonated soft drink is to prepare a syrup containing all the ingredients of the finished product other than the carbonated water. So, a local soft drinks manufacturer named AG Barr brought to them a tonic-like drink that could get the workers through a hard day's graft. On 4 March 2022, due to the ongoing 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine, AG Barr cut ties with the Russian market. Irn Bru has a large and loyal fan base in Scotland and the rest of the UK, and it is also popular in other countries around the world, particularly in countries with a large Scottish population such as Canada and Australia. Barr achieved national distribution throughout Scotland, England and Wales as a result of the purchase of Tizer, which was started by the Pickup family in Bristol in 1907 and became a public company in 1936. IRON BREW was not a designated ‘standard drink’ and so the brand went off sale for the remainder of the war and beyond. We therefore strongly recommend that you always read the actual product label from the product you have purchased, before using or consuming such product.
